Scotland 2018 Travel Diary (Afterwards) Day 13

Day 2 in Edinburgh. As you can imagine, we walked a lot more since we arrived in Edinburgh. Got a beautiful sunny day. Just strolled through the city. Also visited the Royal Museum again. You can see a short glimpse of the Royal Museum in the Day 12 post but it closed so we came back the next day.

Scotland 2018 Travel Diary (Afterwards) Day 7

Last two days were a little buys. Sorry for the lack of updates.

Here is day 7. I think I shot more videos on this route. The sceneries were the most beautiful of the whole trip I think. Driving from Tounge to Ullapool and a litte further to find a Bed & Breakfast. (I include maps now!) Its no lie! The west coast of Scotland is incredible!

The farm we stayed from day 6 to 7 had so much little lamps, so we HAD TO help feed them in the morning.

Scotland 2018 Travel Diary (Afterwards) Day 5+6

Since the last post was a bit short I decided to post two days today. Still on Orkney Islands. Visited the Highland Park Distillery. And just drove the next 24 hours around Orkney. Just a magical place. No trees and endless landscapes. So beautiful! The Ring of Brodgar was incredible to see! Google it! Went so see some cliffs again. And the last few pictures are from the ferry back to the mainland. Just dove a couple of kilometres to the city Tounge where we stayed the night. And yes. There are Pumas around that area. Luckily we haven’t seen one!
Are you ready for baby lambs? See you tomorrow guys!

Scotland 2018 Travel Diary (Afterwards) 4

And here comes day 4!

Since we hadn’t any plans or bookings while on the road. It sometimes got quite complicated to find something later in the day since we wanted to see a lot of stuff and tried to get an B&B or AirBNB after 7 o’clock. John o’ Groats is the last village in the very north of Scotland. Lovely little village. But since there were two weddings on this day, everyyyything was booked.

Luckily after an hour of searching we found Sheila and Johns home. They gave us the room of their grandchildren. Incredibly nice and welcoming. If you ever visit the north of Scotland. Make sure to book a few nights. Better be early! Sheila is normally booked out until later in the year. We were incredibly lucky!

Went up early again to see the cliffs of Dunnet afterwards we took the ferry to Orkney Islands. No trees. Neolithic standing stones. Incredible landscapes. And a tent for two days.
