Went to a little field trip to Alsace. 10km behind Colmar is big area where heavy fights took place in world war 1. Between 1914 and 1918 germans fought against french soldiers.
There is a little memorial museum and you can walk through the trenches and the area. Some trenches are maintained some are nearly untouched for 100 years.
